Digestive Disease Centre in Pela, Mavelikkara is the first and independent ambulatory endoscopy centre in Central Travancore. The practice of DDC is dedicated to gastrointestinal diagnosis and treatment. DDC strive to offer its patients a technologically advanced, welcoming space where they can manage their gastrointestinal health problems with confidence and ease.

The goal of Digestive Disease Centre is to make our patients stay in the Digestive Disease Centre as comfortable and convenient as possible. We evaluate patient symptoms and determine the course of treatment when appropriate ,we work with the referring primary care physicians to best meet the patient’s needs. In service of our patients ,we have invested in the most sophisticated and current technology available in gastrointestinal medicine.

The clinic provide Convevient, efficient, low cost, high quality endoscopy services to our patients. Many procedures can be performed on an outpatient basis and don’t require an overnight hospital stay. About Dr. Balasubramanian

Dr.Balasubramanian.G was born in Madurai in January 1973.He graduated MBBS from Madurai Medical College in 1994.After graduation,he worked as a medical officer in Government Primary Health Centre for 2 years.He did his postgraduation in Internal Medicine in Madras Medical College in 2001.He joined as tutor in Medicine in Kilpauk Medical College ,became Assisstant Professor in Medicine in the Cardiology ICU in Kilpauk Medical College.He went for specialization in Medical Gastroenterology in Kilpauk Medical College in 2007.After specialist training ,he worked as a Junior Consultant in Gastroenterology in PVS Hospital,Ernakulam.He later took ERCP training from Jaswant Rai Hospital,Meerut and was working independently as Consultant Gastroenterologist in V.S.M Hospital ,Mavelikara from 2008 to 2013.During this period,he did more than 7500 upper GI endoscopy,1500 colonscopy,200 sigmoidoscopy,100 ERCP,350 band ligation,100 sclerotherapy,50 glue injection,40 foreign body extraction,20 Hemoclip application,16 PEG insertion,50 polypectomies,11 SEMS placement and 20 esophageal dilatation.

Now started own ambulatory endoscopy unit for the first time in Kerala in Pela,Mavelikara.

I strive to bring the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disease to my patients.
